Diane Baker Walters

Diane Baker Walters, widow of the late David Walters, passed away Monday, October 9, 2023 at her residence in Mt. Sterling, KY. She was a 67-year-old born in Montgomery County to the union of the late Johnnie and Edna Chester Baker, a loving mother and longtime employee of J & M Food Mart in Judy.

She is survived by a son, Shane (April) Walters; 2 grandsons, Jack Walters and Max Walters; a special daughter, Sharie Dougherty; a brother, Carlie Baker (Cindy); and a sister, Bertha Stull (Harold). In addition to her parents, Diane was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Nancy Spencer and Lorraine Bellamy; along with 2 brothers, Ernie Baker and John Stanhope.

Her funeral will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 12, 2023 at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals, Brother Stephen Donithan presiding with burial to follow in Machpelah Cemetery. Visitation will take place prior to the funeral service from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Jon Dougherty, Joe Stull, David Stull, Brandon Baker, Sean Corbin and Shane Walters. Honorary Pallbearers are Jack Walters, Max Walters, William McDaniel and Diane's co-workers at J & M Food Mart.

Arrangements are placed in the care of Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals.
