Emma Mae Caudill Davis, wife of Forrest Wayne Davis, of Mt. Sterling, passed away Friday, November 18, 2022. She was a 74-year-old born in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky to the union of the late Jimmy and Nettie Gullett Caudill, a former nurse's aide and member of North Middletown Christian Church. Emma had a love for quilts and going to quilt shows in Paducah, Morehead, and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. She was an embroiderer of many designs that were beautiful. Her love for her family was big. Emma loved big. She loved being a farm wife and living in the country. She shared that love with her family, especially her grandchildren, Luke and Kady, who were the joy of her life. Emma had a giving heart, always smiling and doing for others. She loved her cousins and friends. Emma accepted her Savior Jesus Christ and had faith of her destiny.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by 2 sons, Forrest Wayne Davis Jr. (Dana), and James A. Davis, 2 grandchildren, Kady Leigh Davis and Lucas Aaron Davis, and 2 loving brothers, Billy Mac Caudill (Debbie) and Bobby Caudill, a foster sister/cousin, Connie Gasparac Harlow, a half sister, Kathy Lykins (Mike), and several nephews and nieces. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, James M. Caudill (Bozo), and Scottie D. Caudill, a sister, Peggy Joyce Caudill, a grandmother, Emma Gullett Williams, a grandfather, John D. Gullett, a foster sister/cousin, Patricia Gasparac Risner (Steve).
Her funeral will be 2:00 Wednesday at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals. Visitation is 12-2:00 Wednesday.
