George Jones Obituary

George Clayton Jones," Bigfoot" husband of Joellen Nelson Jones, of Mt. Sterling, passed away Thursday, June 28, 2018. He was a 65 year old native of Montgomery County, son of the Ollie Jones and the late Will Thomas, an Army veteran, construction worker and member of the Christian faith.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by a daughter, Cassandra Jones of Lexington, a son, Antione (Vera) Jones of Cincinnati, 7 grandchildren, Devae, Austin, Rishon, and Komori Jones, Deonte Washington, Dielan Foreman and MaKayla Webber, a sister, Helen Jones and 3 brothers, John Allen (Deborah) Jones of Berea, Joseph Jones (Bren) of Frankfort and Glen (Marlene) Jones of Virginia.

His funeral will be 1:00 Monday at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals with burial in Olive Hill Cemetery. Visitation is 11-1:00 Monday.
