George Conner Stewart

George C. Stewart, widower of Carolyn Jones Stewart, passed away Monday, November 7, 2022 at Wesley Commons Nursing Home in Greenwood, South Carolina. He was a 91 year old born in Sharpsburg, KY to the union of the late William and Nellie Tincher Stewart, an Air Force Veteran, retired electrical engineer and minister of the Christian Faith.

He is survived by 2 sons; Jeff Stewart (Lori) and Phil Stewart (Rachelle), a daughter-in-law, Nicole Stewart, 7 grandchildren; Catherine, Ashley, Natalie, Courtney, Nicholas, Lydia and Carolann, and 2 great grandchildren; Luke and Jordan. In addition to his wife and parents, George was preceded in death by 2 sons; Bobby Stewart and Douglas Stewart, a sister, Betty Joyce along with his Uncle Conner and Aunt Birdie Tincher who raised him.

His funeral will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 14, 2022 at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals with burial to follow in Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will take place prior to the funeral service from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
