Gracie Collinsworth Obituary

Gracie Covey Collinsworth, widow of Irvine Collinsworth, passed away Sunday, June 2, 2024 at Windsor Care Center in Mt. Sterling, KY. She was a 102 year old born in Montgomery County, KY to the late Jim and Rachel Amburgey Covey. She was a former employee of Jockey International, homemaker, a quilt maker and member of Little Ella United Baptist Church.

She is survived by 2 sons, Darrell Collinsworth and Wendell Burl Rogers; 2 daughters, Barbara Johnson Sheets (Lon) and Linda Cole; 9 grandchildren, Steven Breshear (Sandy), Anita Ramey (Bill), Rebecca Johnson, Donald Scott Cole (Hope), Stacee Cole, Gary Lykins, Randy Lykins, Wendell Rogers and Sherman Rogers; 15 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; 6 step grandchildren, Crystal Lynn Daniels, Janice Slone, Darrell Back, Mark Williams, Diane Williams and Charlotte Clark; 18 step great grandchildren; and 14 step great-great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Gracie was preceded in death by a daughter, Wilma Dean Lykins; a grandson, Danny Lykins; 9 siblings; 2 stepchildren, Gladys Back and Rene Williams; along with 2 step grandchildren, Larry Back and Charles Williams.

Her funeral will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 7, 2024 at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals with burial to follow in Lovely-Amburgey Cemetery. Visitation will take place prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
