Gregory Lynn Wood

Gregory Lynn Wood, age 43 of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, passed from this life on Monday, October 7, 2024.

He was born on February 7, 1981 in Somerset, Kentucky, the son of Jimmy Lee Jones and Wilma Cogdill Burdine.

Greg was a property manager for over 17 years and a member of the GLAA Greater Lexington Apartment Association where he served on many boards and won several awards. He was a ray of sunshine and was loved by everyone. He made everyone smile and wanted everybody to feel good about themselves. Greg had a big heart for giving to others and made a big impact on everyone that he met. He enjoyed traveling, cooking, entertaining guests and always making people feel right at home. He loved fiercely and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Greg would want to remind everyone to always be kind to one another and to show love to everyone.

He is survived by his husband of 5 years, Jonathan Wood of Mt. Sterling; his mother, Wilma Burdine of Bronston; his father and step-mother, Jimmy Lee (Kathy) Jones of Pulaski County; stepdaughters, Addison Wood and Kendall Wood both of Mt. Sterling; brother James “Jamie” (Robin) Jones of Indianapolis, IN; grandparents, Bill and Ethyl Cogdill of Ferguson; Mary "Beth" Burton (Rick) his mother & father in law of Mt. Sterling; and a host of other family members and friends, nieces and nephews; his best friends and cousins, Danielle Whitehead and Kayla Brassfield.

Friends and Family are welcome to join in a Celebration Of Life Visitation on Tuesday, October 15, 2024,
5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Herald & Stewart Chapel
at 1002 Woodford Drive, Mt. Sterling, KY.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to a local organization of your choice.

As Greg would say “You are enough”.
