HAZEL MYREE (GIBSON) BENTLEY

Hazel Myree Gibson Bentley, age 78, of Jeffersonville, KY, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on September 7, 2025.  Hazel was born December 13, 1946, in Whitesburg, KY, to the late Harlan and Maudie Haney Gibson.  Hazel loved her family and dedicated her life to caring for them.

Hazel is survived by 2 sons: Steven (Valerie) Bentley of Jeffersonville and Gary (Misty) Bentley of Flint, Michigan;  6 Grandchildren: Amber Bentley, Summer Bentley, Zachary Bentley, Natalie Bentley, Devin Stoutenburg and Lillian (Cody) Breckenridge;  Great Grandchild: Brantlee McCoy;  a host of nieces and nephews;  4 sisters: Myrtle Sexton, Cristine (Matt) Palmatier, Barbara Gaunce, Patty (Michael) Taulbee; 3 brothers: Sonny (Debra) Gibson, Kenny (Reta) Gibson, Jimmy (Jo) Gibson.

Besides her parents, Hazel was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd Bentley and her sister Betty Mae Collins.

A Visitation only service will be Thursday, September 11, 2025, from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m., at the Herald & Stewart Home For Funerals Chapel.
