HELEN OLENE (BAILEY) JOHNSON

Helen Olene Bailey Johnson, age 83, of Means, KY, passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at Baptist Health in Lexington, KY.  Helen was born May 28, 1942 to the union of the late Calvin and Nola May Bailey.  Helen was of the Pentecostal faith.  She was blessed with a large family that she loved very much.

Helen is survived by her son Farra David (Carla) Johnson of Means, KY;  4 grandchildren: David (Angie) Johnson, Bill Keck, Krystle (John) Verhoeven, and William (Ashlee) Johnson;  9 great-grandchildren: Kasey (Douglas) Miller, Maddison Johnson, Kaidence (Zach Heimbach) Johnson, Farrah Miller, Helen Miller, Jasper Keck, Justin King, Brad (Cierra) Vielee and Aaron Vielee;  4 great-great grandchildren: Hazel Baldwin, Jackson Hayden, Lindey Miller and Cora Vielee;  2 brothers: Scott Bailey and Roy (Maria) Bailey; 3 sisters: Linda (Pete) Smith, Lynn Rose and Hazel Mullins;  Stacie (Jay) & Shayna Garrett and many more nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband William “Bill” Henry Johnson; her daughter Janie Keck;  2 brothers: Michael Bailey and James Bailey; 3 sisters: Mavis Bailey, Fleeta Walters and Bernice Robinson.

Funeral services will be Saturday, July 12, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at the Herald & Stewart Home For Funerals Chapel.  Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m.    

Officiating will be Lonny White.

Burial will follow at the Lovely-Amburgey Cemetery in Jeffersonville.
