HIGINIO ROMERO

Higinio Andaya Romero, age 57, of Owingsville, KY, passed away Sunday, August 9, 2026, at the St. Claire Medical Center in Morehead, KY. Higinio was born January 11, 1969, in Bayambang, Philippines, to Ulpiano and Caridad Romero. Higinio worked for Amazon and greatly enjoyed shooting guns at Buds Gun Shop. He was of the Christian faith.

Higinio is survived by his loving wife Erlinda Gado Romero of Owingsville, KY; 2 daughters-Joanna Romero and Genelyn Romero of Owingsville, KY;  1 son-Eugenio Romero of Owingsville; his mother Caridad Romero of Los Angeles, CA; 3 sisters: Mila Cabuay & Liza Vilaga of the Philippines and Susan Romero of Los Angeles, CA;  2 brothers: Rosendo Romero of the Philippines and Ricky Romero of Los Angeles, CA.

Higinio was preceded in death by his father Ulpiano Romero and his brother Edgar Romero.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 22, 2026, at the Jeffersonville Assembly of God, 7220 Main Street, Jeffersonville, KY 40337.  Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m.  Officiated by Pastor Robbie Conn and Vicenta Gelladuga.
