HILDEGARD (SCHMID) WILLOUGHBY

Hildegard Schmid Willoughby, age 80, of Jeffersonville, KY, passed away Saturday, December 13, 2025, at the U.K. Medical Center in Lexington, KY.  Hilda was born November 25, 1945, in Badersfield, Germany, to the late George and Anna Glass Schmid. Hilda dedicated her life to caring for her family, creating memories they will forever cherish.

Hilda is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Jackie Coleman Willoughby of Jeffersonville; her daughter Linda (Jerry) Perry of Jeffersonville; 2 sons: Robert Willoughby of Jeffersonville and George Willoughby (Sharon Parks) of Jeffersonville; 2 grandchildren Joshua Clay Ballard and Hannah Prater; 2 great grandsons: Samuel Warren Prater and Jeffery Clay Ballard; Several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Hilda was preceded in death by 2 sisters.

Funeral services will be on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at the Herald & Stewart Home For Funerals.  Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at noon.

Officiating will be Robbie Conn.

Burial to follow at Willoughby Cemetery in Jeffersonville.
Pallbearers: Michael Amburgey, Robbie Elliott, Kevin Rudd, Garry Lawson, Mike Willoughby, Randy Willoughby.
