Obituary

Heather Dawn Jackson passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at Saint Claire Medical Center in Morehead, KY. She was a 44 year old born in Lexington, KY to the union of Zereda Rawlins Mayse and the late Herschel Allen Jackson, a retail worker and member of the Church of God.

She is survived by her mother, Zereda Mayse; step father, Gary A. Mayse; brother, Anthony Jackson; special nephew, Bryson Daniel; and special friend, Teresa Miller. In addition to her father, Heather was preceded in death by a brother, Herschel Allen Jackson Jr.; and her maternal grandparents, Oliver and Marjorie Rawlins.

Her funeral will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, July 10, 2023 at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals, Ethan Pennington presiding with burial to follow in Machpelah Cemetery. Visitation will take place prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Jamie Baxter, Steven Rawlins, Dustin Cornwell, Wayne Miller, Steven Miller and Jessie Willoughby. Honorary Pallbearers are Gary Mayse, Anthony Jackson and Bryson Daniel.

Arrangements are placed in the care of Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals.
