Henry Clay McClain

Henry Clay McClain, husband of Mary Margaret Berryman McClain, of Mt. Sterling, passed away Saturday, June 8, 2019.  He was an 84 year old native of Mt. Sterling, son of the late Isaac Newton and Myrtle Fielders McClain, an Army veteran, and farmer.

In addition to his wife of 62 years, he is survived by a brother, Farmer McClain, 2 sons, Ron (Lisa) McClain and Randy (Lori) McClain, 2 daughters, Brenda (Bruce) Tolson and Connie (Tim) Rupard, 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Isaac McClain and a sister, Edna McGuire.

His funeral will be 2:00 Tuesday at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals, Pastor Hammer McGuire presiding, with burial in Machpelah Cemetery where American Legion Post 22 will conduct military rites.  Visitation is 1-2:00 Tuesday.  Pallbearers are Randy, Ron and Jessey McClain, Connie and Tim Rupard, and Bruce Tolson, Honorary pallbearers are John Preece, Mike McLean, Tony Terry and Sammy Manley. Contributions are suggested to St. Claire Hospice or American Legion Post 22.
