Inez Risner Carty

Inez Risner Carty, widow of Richard Lee Carty, of Means, passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2020. She was an 89 year old native of Breathitt County, daughter of the late Lacey and Laura Clemons Risner, a housewife and farmer. 

She is survived by 3 daughters, Brenda Sparks, Glenna Fugate (John), and Inez Yarber (David), 2 sons, Randy Carty (Regina) and Richard Carty (May), 7 grandchildren, Laura Ballard (Anthony), Barry Carty (Kelly), Garry Carty (Katie), Johnathan Fugate (Lisa), David Carty (Crystal), Marsha Sexton, and Amanda Miesse (Mark), 21 great grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Roy Carty, a sister, Imogene Burke, and a grandchild, Richard Dicky Sparks.  

Her funeral will be 1:00 Saturday at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals, Brother William Sparks presiding, with burial to follow in Carty Family Cemetery. Visitation is 5:00-8:00 Friday. Pallbearers are David Carty, Anthony Ballard, Robert Price, Tony Hunt, Johnathan Fugate, Sam Hunt, Justin Lawson, and Barry Carty.
