Irene (Easterling) Jackson

Irene Easterling Jackson of Camargo, age 88, widow of John Boyd Jackson Jr., passed away February 23, 2022 at Windsor Care Center in Mt. Sterling, KY. She was born September 2, 1933 in Salyersville, KY to the late Charlie and Carrie Easterling.  

A devoted woman of God, Irene was a long time member of the Little Easter United Baptist Church of Jeffersonville. Irene enjoyed gardening, quilting, cooking, and most of all spending time with her beloved family.   

Surviving family members include her children: Vera (Dan) Fitzpatrick, Sharon Williams, Johnny (Sandy) Jackson, and David (Robin) Jackson; Grandchildren: Taylor (Stephanie) Fitzpatrick, Andrew Fitzpatrick, Christy (Brian) Foudray, Rachel (Michael) Anderson, Caroline (Christian) Braun, Blake (Haley) Jackson, and Emily (Adam) Taylor; Great grandchildren: Chase Fitzpatrick, Sophia Foudray, Cora, Landry, and Scarlett Anderson, Alexander Braun and Pierce Taylor; and brother Johnny Easterling, and several nieces and nephews.  

She was preceded in death by her siblings Edith Caudill, Pearl Coburn, Ruby Easterling, Reva Easterling, James Earl Easterling, Hearl Easterling, and Fearl Easterling.  

There will be private graveside services for immediate family at Lovely Cemetery in Jeffersonville, KY.
