JAMES ALLEN WILLOUGHBY

James Allen Willoughby, age 72, of Owingsville, KY, passed away at St. Joseph Main in Lexington on Saturday, May 17, 2025.  Born July 17, 1952 in Winchester, KY., James was the son of the late Herbert and Mattie Lee Bell Willoughby.  James worked at A. O. Smith and was a farmer.  Having come from a large family, James enjoyed spending time with them and all his nieces and nephews. James was of the Christian faith.

James is survived by 3 brothers-Irvine Richard Willoughby, Gary Wayne Willoughby and William Ray Willoughby all of Owingsville; 4 sisters-Barbara Rose (Roy) Vaughn of Summerfield, Florida, Patricia Ann (Tony) Ring of Winchester, Belinda Gail Bromagen of Owingsville and Tereasa Lynn Tracy of Owingsville.

James was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be Thursday, May 22, at 11:00 a.m. at the Herald & Stewart Home For Funerals Chapel. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 21 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Herald & Stewart Chapel.  Officiating will be Les Ingram.

Burial will follow at the Machpelah Cemetery.
