JASON "JAKE" WADE BALLARD

Jason “Jake” Wade Ballard, age 47, of Frenchburg, KY, passed away at home on Thursday, April 24, 2025.   Jake was born November 14, 1977 to the union of Walter Ballard, Jr. “Smiley” and Pamela Tackitt Ballard in Lexington, KY.  Jake worked hard as a logger to provide for his family and enjoyed all kinds of outdoor activities including hunting, fishing, four-wheeling, just to name a few.  Jake was a member of the Slate Creek Pentecostal church.

Jake is survived by his wife Rebecca Daulton Ballard and his 3 daughters Olivia Ann Ballard, Divinity Jo and Trinity Jade of Menifee County;  his parents Walter “Smiley” and Pamela Ballard; 5 brothers Michael (Kiara) Ballard, Zane Ballard, Lyrik Ballard, Noah Ballard and Liam Ballard, all of Menifee County;  his father & mother in-law Jimmy and Kathy Daulton;  2 brother in-laws Chris Daulton and John (Kyndall) Daulton;  Nieces Taylor (Scotty) Helton, Morgan Daulton and Izzy Ballard;  Nephews Ollie Helton, Maverik Daulton and Dezmond Daulton; and several Aunts and Uncles.

Jake was preceded in death by 1 brother Shawn Kelly Ballard; Grandparents Felix and Gladys Tackitt,  Tressie Sargent, Walter and Gertrude Ballard.

Funeral services will be Monday, April 28, at 1:00 p.m. at the Herald & Stewart Home For Funerals Chapel.  Visitation will be Sunday, April 27, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Herald & Stewart Chapel.   Officiating will be Jimmy Daulton and Junior Williams.

Burial will follow at the Rothwell Cemetery in Menifee County

Pallbearers:  Michael Ballard, Lyrik Ballard, Noah Ballard, Liam Ballard, Adam Ferguson, Junior Williams, Chris Daulton, John Daulton.

Honorary Pallbearers: Ernest Tackitt, Johnny Brown, Steve Peck, Barry Cornett, Oliver Case Helton, Scotty Helton, Albert Ballard.
