JoAnne Redington passed away on July 31, 2026, at the age of 65. Born on July 5, 1961, JoAnne lived life on her own terms. She was strong-willed, independent, and never afraid to speak her mind. Those who knew her best would agree that she could be stubborn and fiercely determined, but those same qualities helped her face life's challenges with resilience and grit. Whether people agreed with her or not, they always knew where they stood with JoAnne.
One of seven children, JoAnne, shared a lifetime of memories with her siblings. She is survived by her sisters, Carolyn Stolfi, Karen Knox, Margaret Bruno, and Katherine VanDeusen, and her brothers, Steven Pisarski and John Heacox.
Above all else, JoAnne was a mother and grandmother. She is survived by her sons, Michael Pisarski, John Gasparelli, Matthew Gasparelli, and Gregory Redington. She was grandmother to Serena and Zoey Gasparelli; Giana, Evan, Elena, and Aria Gasparelli; step-grandmother to Brett and Scott Scharr; and step-great-grandmother to Connor and Callie Scharr.
JoAnne was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Redington, who passed away on July 31, 2015. After eleven years apart, her family finds comfort in believing they have been reunited.
JoAnne was not a perfect person, nor would she have wanted to be remembered that way. She was opinionated, strong-minded, and unapologetically herself. She faced life with determination and conviction, and she left a lasting impression on everyone who crossed her path. Those who loved her will remember her strength, her persistence, her sharp wit, and the many stories that came from a life lived without compromise.
Though her journey was not always easy, JoAnne's memory lives on through her children, grandchildren, family members, and all those whose lives she touched in one way or another.
She will be remembered, missed, and never forgotten.
