JOHNNY EASTERLING Obituary

Johnny Easterling, age 84, of Jeffersonville, KY, passed away at the VA Medical Center in Lexington, KY, on Saturday March 15, 2025.  Born in Salyersville, KY, to the union of the late Charlie and Carrie Montgomery Easterling on February 10, 1941.  Johnny was proud to have served his country in the Army during the Vietnam Era.  Johnny retired after many years as Service Manager at Cole Ford of Mt. Sterling and Winchester.  He was a faithful member of the Rocky Branch United Baptist church.


Johnny is survived by his daughter Sherry Easterling of Jeffersonville; his grandson Jonathan (Ann) Easterling of Mt. Sterling, 2 great-grand children Madison and Keaton Easterling of Mt. Sterling; and several nieces and nephews.


Besides  parents, Johnny was preceded in death by 5 sisters: Edith Caudill, Pearl Coburn, Ruby Easterling, Reva Easterling and Irene Jackson; 3 brothers James Earl “Blue” Easterling, Hearl “Badden” Easterling and Fearl Easterling.


Funeral services will be Friday, March 21, 11:00 a.m. at the Rocky Branch United Baptist church in Jeffersonville with C.J. Murray, William Hoss Prater, Roger McGuire, Steve McGuire and Daryl Back officiating.   Visitation will be Thursday, March 20, from 6-8 p.m. at the Herald & Stewart Home For Funerals.


Burial will follow at the Lovely-Amburgery Cemetery in Jeffersonville.  Military Honors by the American Legion Post 22.


Pallbearers: Jonathan Easterling, Keaton Easterling, Scotty Easterling, Terry Easterling, Todd Easterling, Hearl Ray Schultz, Brian Harm.


Honorary Pallbearers: Oakey Montgomery, Carl Montgomery, Sherman Lyons, Johnny Jackson, David Jackson, Gary Coburn, Rodney Easterling.
