JOYCE LEE (ROARK) BROOKS

Joyce Lee Roark Brooks, age 81, passed away peacefully at the home of her son surrounded by family on June 19, 2025.  Joyce was born April 27, 1944, in Bath Co. KY, to the union of the late Wardie and Eula Faye Kilgore Roark.  Joyce dedicated her life to taking care of her family and working on the farm.

Joyce is survived by 1 daughter-Tammy Brooks of Winchester;  1 son-Jeff (Angie) Brooks of Stanton;  2 grandchildren-Nicole Barrett and Jessa Brooks;  1 great-granddaughter Ember Barrett;  2 brothers-Danny Roark and Roy Roark-both of Bath Co.;  2 sisters-Rella Hall of Ohio and Mary Hart of Bath Co.

Besides his parents, Joyce was also preceded in death by husband Cecil Brooks;  2 sons-Keith Brooks and Monroe Brooks;  1 brother-Nelson Roark.

Funeral services will be Monday, June 23, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at the Herald & Stewart Home For Funerals Chapel. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m.  Officiating will be Tommy Evans.

Burial will follow at the Little Slate Cemetery in Bath Co.
