Jake Richmond, husband of Mary Ann Richmond, of Mt. Sterling, passed away Thursday, August 19, 2021. He was a 60 year old native of Bath County, born to the union of Bertha E. Richmond and the late Oscar E. Richmond, a former construction worker and member of the Christian Faith.
In addition to his wife of 41 years, Jake is survived by 4 children; Jacob Richmond (Carie), Rebecca Ricmond, Samantha Richmond and Reese Richmond, 4 grandchildren Sara Richmond, Haley Richmond, McKenzie Richmond and Brantley Richmond, his mother; Bertha E. Richmond, 2 sisters; Judy Marshall (Jack) and Janice (David) Curd, and 3 brothers; Johnny Richmond, Jamey Richmond (Penny) and Jackie Richmond. He is preceded in death by a brother; Jesse Richmond and a sister; Joetta Richmond.
Jake's funeral will be 11:00 a.m. Monday Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals, Pastor Jim Bussell presiding with burial to follow in Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Pallbearers are: Jacob Richmond, Reese Richmond, Josh Richmond, John D. Catchings, Wade Miller and Jack Marshall.
Honorary Pallbearers are: George Poe, Paul Little, Ed Catchings, Rodney Hamilton, John Catchings and Alfred Little.
