James Frank Thomas, 59, of Winchester, died November 7, 2005 at Clark Regional Medical Center. He was born December 17, 1945 in Bath County, the son of the late Harry D. and Eugenia Toy Thomas. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and member of the Church of Latter Day Saints.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Hanks Thomas of Winchester, three grandchildren, Stacia Moore, Jonella Lindsey, and Jamie Thomas, one great-grandson, Tai Lindsey, four great-granddaughters, Stacey Moore, Starlett Caldwell, Shylynne Caldwell and Serene Caldwell, three nieces, Jennifer Coomer, Merrie Thompson and Jenny Simon, one nephew, David Coomer, a godson, Douglas Leffew and four great-nephews, Daniel Coomer, Jonah Coomer, Bobby Bowman and Jimmy Bowman.
Services were held November 11, 2005 at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals. Military burial rites were performed by the American Legion Post 22 Honor Guard.
