Jaydell Wilks Means, widow of Donald Means, of Mt. Sterling, passed away Monday, May 31, 2021. She was an 86 year old born in Alabama to the union of the late Jay and Edna Wilks, a former bank teller for Miami National Bank and a member of the Baptist Church.
She is survived by 4 daughters, Betty (Daryl) Cornish, Pam "PJ" (Bill) Bailey, Michelle Lynn (Michael) Goforth and Michelle (Robbie) Hopkins, 2 sons, Donald Wayne (Sandy) Means and Ronald B. Mould, 20 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, a special great-niece, Gina (Blake) Nashick and family and 2 special friends, Dottie Loy and Dee Massey. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Lynn Johnson and a sister, Mary Manley.
Her funeral will be 1:00 Friday at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals, Pastor Hoss Prater presiding, with burial in Machpelah Cemetery. Visitation is 5-8:00 Thursday. Pallbearers are Shane Hasty, Ben McFadden, Kevin Means, Jonathon Mould, Jimmy Means, and Brandon Goldie. Honorary pallbearers are Robbie Hopkins and Blake Nashick.
