Jimmy E. Goodpaster, husband of Audrey Joy Carter Goodpaster, passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at his residence in Winchester, KY. He was a 79 year old born in Bath County to the union of the late Clifford Goodpaster and Mildred Whittington Webb, an Army veteran, retired construction worker and member of the Church of God.

He is survived by his wife, Audrey Joy Carter Goodpaster, a step-son, Johnie Leadingham (Tabitha), 4 grandchildren; Jami Goodpaster Conkright, Matthew Goodpaster (Courtney), Raelee Leadingham and Kaelyn Leadingham, 5 great grandchildren; Knox Goodpaster, Lynette Goodpaster, Jacob Wells, Braxton Wells and Dakotah Conkright, 2 brothers; Ronnie Goodpaster (Gracie) and Danny Webb, 2 sisters; Connie Willoughby (Jimmy) and Darlene Colliver (Butch), and a special nephew, Brett Goodpaster. In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by a son, Doug Goodpaster and a brother, Gerald Goodpaster.

Visitation will take place from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, September 23, 2022 at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals. His funeral will be 12:00 p.m. Saturday, September 24, 2022 at Bairtown Church of God, Pastors Elijah and Justin Wagoner presiding with burial to follow in John Carter Cemetery. Pallbearers are Brett Goodpaster, Matt Goodpaster, Jacob Wells, Braxton Wells, Johnie Leadingham and Jason Carter.
