Jo Ann (Burns) Jones

Jo Ann Burns Jones, widow of Kenny Jones, of Mt. Sterling, passed away Saturday, September 25, 2021.  She was a 66 year old native of Montgomery County, daughter of the late Addie Arnold Burns, a retired Walmart employee and member of the Christian faith.

She is survived by 2 sons, Eric Jones and Damion (Shannon) Jones, 6 grandchildren, Erica Tate, Ally Jones, Anniston Jones, Morgan Purvis, Kyra Purvis and Emmie Purvis, 1 great-grandchild, Klariteigh Tate, 4 sisters, Faye Crowe, Nancy Watkins, Vicki Brown and Brenda Montgomery, and 3 brothers, Ricky Burns, Larry Browning, Donnie Browning.  In addition to her husband and mother, she was preceded in death by a sister, Janice Norris and 2 brothers, Doug Browning and Jerry Ray Burns.

Her funeral will be 1:00 Wednesday at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals with burial in Machpelah Cemetery.  Visitation is 11-1:00 Wednesday.  Pallbearers are Daniel Burns, Dwayne Browning, J.J. Harrison, Terry Leach, Justin Crockett, Ronnie Myers, Terry Barnett and Chris Lewis.
