Obituary

John Thomas Davis, widower of Betty Jean Templin Davis, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at the University of Kentucky Hospice Care Center in Lexington, KY. He was a 67 year old born in Montgomery County to the union of the late Scott and Louise Cooper Davis, a farmer and member of Abundant Life Gospel Church.

He is survived by a son, Johnny Davis Jr.; a daughter, Melissa Isbell (Tony); 4 grandchildren, Wesley Davis, Kimberly Davis, Anthony Isbell and Amber Morelli (Tyler); a great granddaughter, Evelyn Morelli; 3 brothers, David Coffey (Mary), Troy Davis (Jackie) and Roger Davis (Ginger); and 2 sisters, Virginia "Jenny" Martin (Rodney) and Lisa Wallin (Brian). In addition to his wifeand parents, John was preceded in death by a brother, Rex Davis.

His funeral will be 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals, Pastor Rick Meadows presiding with burial to follow in Machpelah Cemetery. Visitation will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, February 27, 2023 at the funeral home.

Arrangements are placed in the care of Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals.
