John Wayne McFarland

John Wayne McFarland, of Mt. Sterling, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at Saint Joseph Hospital in Lexington, KY. He was a 70 year old born in Montgomery County to the union of the late Stanley and Alma Agee McFarland, a farmer and member of the Pentecostal Faith. 

He is survived by a sister; Deloris Ratliff, 3 nephews; Russel McFarland, Brad McFarland and Sammy McFarland, as well as a niece; Trina Kern. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by 2 brothers; Danny Lee McFarland and Oliver McFarland, a sister; Sue Brown and a niece; Esta McFarland. 

His funeral will be 12:00 p.m. Saturday, July 23, 2022 at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals, Pastor Tommy Evans presiding with burial to follow in Longview Cemetery. Visitation will take place prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
