Joy Mecca (Miller) Pater

Joy Mecca Miller Pater, wife of Jean Pater, of Mt. Sterling, passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2022.  She was a 59-year-old born in Harlan, Kentucky to the union of the late Taylor Robert and Sylvia Clem Miller, a retired nurse and member of the Christian faith.

In addition to her wife, she is survived by a daughter, Misty (Dennis) Pater, 10 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, a brother, Eddie (Ora) Miller, and 3 sisters, Theda (Joe) Stewart, Melissa Miller (Steve Fultz), and Robin (Robert) Green.  She was preceded in death by a son, Bobby Norman, and 3 sisters, Sue Summers, Mickie Parrot and Myrna McGuire.  

Her memorial service will be 3:00 Monday at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals, Donald Tackett presiding.  Visitation is 1-3:00 Monday.
