LARRY WAYNE WHITT

Larry Wayne Whitt, age 75, of  Sharpsburg, KY, passed away at Ridgeway Nursing Home on Saturday, March 29, 2025.  Larry was born in Paris, KY on January 4, 1950 to the union of the late Linville Lee and Margaret Goodpaster Whitt.  Larry was a farmer who never minded working hard to provide for the family he loved so much.  He also loved animals and going fishing.  Larry was of the Baptist faith. 

Larry is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Shalva Jean Quin Whitt, his 2 sons Danny (Angie) Whitt of Sharpsburg, Wayne (Melody) Whitt of Bradenton, Florida; 7 grandchildren; 3 sisters Betty McGuire Goldy of Mt. Sterling, Judy Lee Melchior of Sidney Nebraska, Billye Sue Webb of Lexington; 1 brother Linville “Shorty” Whitt of Cynthiana. 

Besides his parents, Larry was preceded in death by 1 daughter Debbie Whitt; 2 sisters Margaret “Dottie” Dixon and Linda Gail Whitt.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 2 at 1:00 p.m. at the Herald & Stewart Home For Funerals Chapel. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m.  Officiating is Charles McGuire.

Burial will follow at the Machpelah Cemetery.
