LENA SUE WRIGHT

Lena Sue Wright, age 61, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2026, at Center Point Hospital in Winchester, Ky. with her sister by her side. She was born in Bath County on December 4, 1964, to the late Woodrow and Easter Wright. Lena Sue lived in Mt. Sterling most of her life. Her neighbors loved her joyful personality. Lena Sue was cared for by her loving brothers and her devoted sister, Lula Faye. She will be missed by many. 

Lena Sue had a very contagious laugh and she loved people. She loved finding out facts about people's lives and their interests. She never met a stranger. She loved her turtle, Turbo. Lena Sue had lots of photos of her family members around her house. She was so proud of her immediate family and her extended family. She enjoyed the old comedy sitcoms such as Mama's Family and Three's Company just to name a couple. Lena Sue enjoyed her house plants. The windchimes hanging on her porch were priceless to her. She was a huge fan of Snoopy and Woodstock. 

Lena Sue is survived by her sister, Lula Faye Rose, her brothers; Woodie, Hershel, Stevie and Walter Dennis. Preceded in death by sisters, Evelyn Poore and Marie Wright. 

Lena Sue had many cousins in Bath, Montgomery County and Southern Utah. 
The family extends their sincere appreciation to everyone who helped take care of her during the last few years of her life. 

Graveside Services will be at 2:00 pm on Friday, October 9, 2026, at Machpelah Cemetery, Mt. Sterling, Ky.
