Larry Wayne Brown, husband of Thelma Crockett Brown, passed away Saturday, December 30, 2023 at his residence in Mt. Sterling, KY. He was a 73 year old born in Montgomery County to the union of the late Willie and Margaret Chandler Brown, a lifelong farmer and member of the Baptist Faith.

He is survived by his wife, Thelma Brown; a daughter, Jennifer Johnson (Keith); 3 sons, Brian Brown (Tanya), Eric Brown (Stephanie) and Jason Brown; 8 grandchildren, Conner Johnson, Tyler Brown, Cooper Brown, Riley Burchett, Carter Burchett, Avery Brown, Mikayla Brown and Madelyn Brown; 3 sisters, Ann West (Russell), Janice Hatton and Judy Hart (James); and 5 brothers, Gerald Brown (Dee), Richard "Satch" Brown, David Brown, Donnie Brown (Kristin) and Greg Brown (Diane). In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Sue Butcher; a brother, William "Red" Brown Jr.; and 2 grandchildren, Thomas Jay Brown and Trevor Logan Brown.

His funeral will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 5, 2024 at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals, Bro. Cecil Wayne Curtis presiding with burial to follow in Machpelah Cemetery. Visitation will take place from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 4, 2024 at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Conner Johnson, Tyler Brown, Avery Brown, Riley Burchett, Allen Prewitt, Cooper Brown and Carter Burchett. Honorary pallbearers are Jeremy Tomlin and Buck Prewitt.
