Ledford Tye Mullins, of Means, passed away Saturday, August 13, 2022 at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington, KY. He was a 74 year old born in Big Stone Gap, VA to the union of Sylvia Sizemore Mullins and the late Doyle Mullins Sr., a U.S. Marines veteran, former truck driver and member of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his significant other; Helen Walters, 4 children; Cheryl Markland (Johnny) of Hope, Donna Price (Jimmy) of Owingsville, Rebecca Walters of Mt. Sterling and Donald Walters Jr. of Mt. Sterling, 7 grandchildren; Chad Walters (Shelby), Tabitha Markland, Ashley Markland, Felecia Everman (Brandon), James Price (Rachel), Chandler Walters and Bradley Price, 16 great grandchildren, his mother; Sylvia Sizemore Mullins and a sister; Daretha Norris (Rick). In addition to his father, Ledford was preceded in death by a grandson, Kyle Walters.
Visitation will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals. A graveside service will be held at a later date in Big Stone Gap, VA.
