Lillie Allen (Byrd) Harkness

Lillie Byrd Harkness, wife of Donald Harkness, of Mt. Sterling, passed away Friday, February 4, 2022 in McKee, KY. She was a 78 year old native of Montgomery County born to the union of the late Omer and Hazel Curry Byrd, a homemaker and member of the Baptist Faith.

In addition to her husband, Lillie is survived by 2 daughters; Cathy Reed (Mike) and Debbie Cundiff, 3 grandchildren; Christopher Purvis (Heather), Bethany Taylor (Josh) and James Cundiff (Sara), 11 great-grandchildren and 1 brother; Omer Byrd Jr. She was preceded in death by her first husband; Jimmy Cundiff, 1 daughter; Doris Ann Byrd, 1 brother; Eddie Byrd and 2 sisters; Rachel Shepherd and Anna Mae Crump.

A visitation will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00  p.m. on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals.
