Lillie Stephens Obituary

Lillie Ella Townsend Stephens, widow of Omar Stephens, of Jeffersonville, passed away Thursday, January 21, 2021 in Lexington, Kentucky after a long illness.  She was a 74 years and 7 months old born June 20, 1946 in Montgomery County, Kentucky to the union of the late Daniel Boone and Allie Mae Skidmore Townsend. She was a graduate of Camargo High School and Winchester Beauty College, worked for Dixie Beauty Shop for 18 years, and was a member of Camargo Church of God. She loved her family and friends, travel, photograph, cooking and baking.

She is survived by a sister, Juanita Townsend, 2 brothers, Johnnie Thomas (Peggy Anne) Townsend and Danny Ray (Judy Kay) Townsend, 2 brothers-in-law, Edgar Williams and Charles Jack Whidden, and several nieces, nephews, 9 great-nieces and great-nephews.  She was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Hattie Marie Townsend Williams and Scharline Townsend Whidden.

Her funeral will be 1:00 Tuesday, January 26th at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals, Rev. Darrell Back, Donnie Henderson and Janice Gail Slone presiding, with burial in Lovely Amburgey Cemetery.  Visitation is 11-1:00 Tuesday. Pallbearers are Zane Stafford, James Phelps, Bill Junie Phelps, Sam Williams, Cory Phelps, John O. Cope, and Wes Robinson.
