Linda Carol Young

Linda Carol Young, wife of Robert Young, passed away Friday, August 11, 2023 at Saint Joseph Hospital in Lexington, KY. She was a 70 year old born in Lexington, KY to the union of the late Louis and Lorretta Sons Shanks, a homemaker and member of the Pentecostal Faith.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Young; 2 daughters, Rebecca Sutton, Teresa Blackburn (Parry); 8 grandchildren, Stephanie Patrick (Dallas), Jennifer Lawill (Todd), Samuel Blackburn (Amanda), TJ Sutton, Stacy Blackburn, Isaac Blackburn, Jacob Sutton and Kaenyn Sutton; 10 great grandchildren, Skylar Blackburn, Arizona Blackburn, Reno Patrick, Ryker Patrick, Ranger Patrick, Lilliana Blackburn, Lukas Blackburn, Tristan Webb, Gabe Webb and Avery Lawill; 8 sisters and 3 brothers. In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by 2 brothers.

Her funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at Herald and Stewart Home for Funerals, Samuel Blackburn presiding with burial to follow in Machpelah Cemetery. Visitation will take place from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, August 14, 2023 at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Samuel Blackburn, Isaac Blackburn, TJ Sutton, Jacob Sutton, Todd Lawill and Dallas Patrick.
