Lloyd McArther Bentley

Lloyd McArther Bentley, husband of Hazel Gibson Bentley, passed away Friday, September 22, 2023 at Bluegrass Hospice Care Center in Lexington, KY. He was an 81 year old born in Pike County, KY to the union of the late Robert and Myrtle Horne Bentley, a retired machine repairman for General Motors and avid University of Kentucky fan. Lloyd also enjoyed playing his guitar and was a lover of bluegrass music.

In addition to his wife of 59 years, Lloyd is survived by 2 sons, Gary Bentley (Misty) and Steven Bentley (Valerie); 6 grandchildren, Amber Bentley, Summer Bentley, Zachary Bentley, Natalie Bentley, Devin Stoutenburg and Lillian Breckenridge (Cody); a great grandchild, Brantlee McCoy; along with a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers and a sister. 

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals. No services will be conducted at this time.
