Lottie Stull Joseph, 92, of Mount Sterling, went on to be with her Heavenly Father, Thursday, June 3, 2021 while in the care of Hospice at Saint Joseph Mount Sterling.
Born February 7, 1929, in Bath County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Arnold and Mattie Fortune Stull and a member of the Hope First Church of God since the 1950s where she enjoyed teaching Sunday School and Children's Church. She also toured the country with Ruby Kitchen raising funds to build the Hope Hill Children's Home.
Lottie was married to Silas Joseph, Jr. for 50 years and was a wonderful mother to four children. She was hardworking, both inside and outside the home. She was employed at Cowden Manufacturing and performed bookkeeping for her husband's car dealership. In later years, she enjoyed quilting many hand pieces and hand sewn quilts for family and friends. Lottie also enjoyed working in her yard and flowers and will be remembered by those closest to her for her love of family and her strong will and desire to never give up.
Survivors include a brother, Vernon (Katheryn) Stull of Hope, a sister, Eula Tapp of Lexington; two sons, Ronnie Glen (Tanya) Joseph and Timothy Silas Joseph, both of Mount Sterling; one daughter, Sharon Joseph Prewitt of Mount Sterling; three granddaughters, Miranda (Randy) Brookshire, Melinda Joseph-Dezarn, and Whitney Elaine Joseph; six grandsons, Larry (Myra) Joseph, Jr., Jonathan Joseph, A.J. (Erica) Prewitt, Jake Joseph, Nicholas (Paula) Joseph, and Shane (Sara) Joseph; along with thirteen great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Larry Michael Joseph; two brothers, Henry (Rosie) Stull and Arnold Stull, Jr., two sisters, Thelma (Clifford) Thompson and Della Walters Smith; a daughter-in-law, Phyllis Moses Joseph; and son-in-law, Albert Wayne Prewitt.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 6, 2021 at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals from 5-8 pm. The funeral service will be Monday, June 7, 2021 at 11 am with Pastor Glen Sizemore and Rev. Mike Sexton officiating. Burial will be in Machpelah Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Larry Joseph, Jr., Jonathan Joseph, A.J. Prewitt, Jake Joseph, Nicholas Joseph, Shane Joseph, and Randy Brookshire. Honorary pallbearers will be her great-grandchildren. Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals is entrusted with arrangements.
