MARY ELIZABETH (PARKS) DAVIS Obituary

Mary Elizabeth Parks Davis, age 76, of Jeffersonville, passed away peacefully Saturday, January 18, 2025.  She was born August 26, 1948 in Angola, Indiana, to the union of the late Betty Mae and Narvel H. Parks, Jr.   A retired nurse aid of more than 30 years, she was proud of her service and was honored to have served those in need.  Mary was a Holy Ghost filled woman who loved God and his son, Jesus Christ.


Mary was preceded in death by her parents Betty Mae and Narvel Parks Jr., brothers John, Jimmy and Garvin Parks, a sister Wanda Parks McGuire, and grandson Preston Edward Lawson.


She is survived by her children James Davis (Shelly) of Hope, Anthony Davis (Erika) of Jeffersonville, and Kimberly Davis Lawson (Jeff) of Jeffersonville;  her grandchildren Bryan Davis, Alexia Gray, Aleisha Anderson, Seth Lawson, Trevor Lawson and 3 great grandchildren; her siblings Jerry Parks (Betty), Linda Parks Manning, Sammy Parks (Bonnie), Ada Parks Jones, Shirley Parks Roe, Curtis Parks (Martha) and Vickie Parks Rister (Jim),  and special neighbors the Rose family.


Funeral services will be Monday, January 20, at 1:00 p.m. at the Lucky Stop Holiness Church. Friends can visit from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.  Officiating will be Chad Curran, Josh Henderson,  Jr. McGuire.


Burial will follow at the Lovely-Amburgey Cemetery.


Pallbearers:  Bryan Davis, Seth Lawson, Trevor Lawson, Kevin Lawson, Bobby Henderson, David Henderson, Terry Lawson, Dean Parks.
Honorary Pallbearers:  Bill Henderson, Terry Henderson, Mitcheal Henderson, Jason Lawson, John Parks, Rodney Parks, Kelly Manning, Greg Lawson, and beloved nieces and nephews.
