MARY ANN (CATCHINGS) RICHMOND

Mary Ann Catchings Richmond, age 62, of Mt. Sterling, passed away Sunday, October 27, 2024 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, KY.  Mary Ann was born March 5, 1962 in Mt. Sterling to the union of her late parents Edward & Lavena Wells Catchings.  Mary Ann loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved to cook and feed the people she loved. She enjoyed working with her flower gardens.  Mary Ann’s love for God was evident in her life and she was a member of the Church of God.

Mary Ann is survived by her daughter Samantha Martin of Mt. Sterling, 2 sons– Jacob (Carie) Richmond and Reese Richmond both of Mt. Sterling; her 4 grandchildren– Sara Richmond, Haley Richmond, McKenzie Richmond and Brantley Richmond, all of Mt. Sterling.
2 Brothers– John (Claudia) Catchings of Fleming Co. and Ed Catchings of Fleming Co.,  1 sister- Carol Hamilton of Fleming Co.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jake, 1 daughter Rebecca Richmond and 1 sister Pam Bashford.

Funeral Service will be Saturday, November 2nd at 11:00 a.m. at the Herald & Stewart Home For Funerals Chapel in Mt. Sterling. Visitation will be Friday, November 1st from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at Herald & Stewart Chapel.  Officiating will be Walter Humfleet.  Burial will follow at the Crown Hill Cemetery in Sharpsburg, KY.
