Mary Margaret “Margo” Willoughby Sparks, age 74, of Jeffersonville, KY, passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at St. Joseph Main Hospital, Lexington, KY.  Mary was born in Mt. Sterling, KY on January 9, 1952, to the late Ollie James and Ruby Allen Willoughby.  Mary was retired from the Jockey International factory. She was of the Baptist faith.  Mary loved her husband of 55 years, John, her children, grand and great grandchildren and devoted her life to caring for them…as long as they did not interfere with her love of fishing!

Mary is survived by her loving husband John Sparks of Jeffersonville; her son Adam Clay Sparks of Jeffersonville; her daughter Gwendolyn Shae Burns of Mt. Sterling: grandchildren Danika Sparks, Jaxson Sparks, Jordan Sparks and Kayla Burns; great grandchildren Carter Burns and Luke Sparks; 1 brother David Ray Willoughby; 4 sisters: JoAnn Ballard, Barbara Fint, Dianna Willoughby and Norma Sue Fint.

Besides her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her brother James Wesley Willoughby.

Funeral services will be at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, June 20th at Herald & Stewart Home For Funerals.  Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m.  Officiating will be Grant Cannoy.

Burial to follow at Spruce Cemetery, Jeffersonville, KY.

Pallbearers: Adam Clay Sparks, Stephen Willoughby, Paul Willoughby, Joey Campbell, Aaron Riley, Shannon Denniston.

Honorary Pallbearers: Jaxson Sparks, Jordan Sparks.
