Margaret Ruthie Smith Sexton, widow of Roger Ray Sexton, of Jeffersonville, passed away Saturday, December 4, 2021. She was a 74 year old born in Morgan County, Kentucky to the union of the late Rosco and Mazie Adkins Smith, a caretaker and member of the Christian faith.
She is survived by 3 daughters, Brenda (Bobby) Bressler, Debbie (Kevin) Perry and Angie Moore-Marshall, 3 granddaughters, Ashley Swartz, Kayla Mitchell and Megan Perry, 8 great-grandchildren, Braden Martinez (Kirstie Woosley), Jaden Lopez, Allie Lopez, Leslie Lopez, Skylar Sorrell, Kaylee Hall, Rylan Ramon and Shay Sorrell, a brother, Donald (Maxine) Smith, 5 sisters, Mae Arnold, Ivory Snelling (Mike Russell), Peggy Link, Alice Maney and Patty Smith and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Chester Smith, L.B. Smith, James Smith and Robert Smith and 3 sisters, Lena Moore, Thelma Snelling and Faye White.
Her funeral will be 2:00 Thursday at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals, Pastor Mitchell Smith presiding, with burial in Oldfield Cemetery. Visitation is 6-8:00 Wednesday. Pallbearers are Mike Russell, Braden Martinez, Jaden Lopez, Rene Lopez, Gary Moore and Nelson Brierley. Honorary pallbearers are Skylar Sorrell, Rylan Ramon and Larry Moore Jr.
