Obituary

Martha Gay Meadows, wife of Johnny M. Meadows, of Mt. Sterling, passed away Friday, February 19, 2021. She was a 71 year old born in Morgan County, KY to the union of the late Kelly and Chloe Conley Johnson. She was a housewife and member of the Christian faith.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by 3 daughters, Christy (Wes) Conway, Kim (Glenn) Grimes, and Shawna (Jamie) Clemons, 7 grandchildren, Hunter Catchings, McKayla Arnett (Austin), Garrett Grimes, Jacob Miracle, Karley Clemons, Kenley Grimes, and Jadyn Miracle, 1 great-grandchild, Chloe Arnett, 2 sisters, Brenda Sue Lawson and Lily Jean Scott, 1 brother, Frank Johnson, as well as a special nephew, Joseph McCarty. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 5 sisters, Sylvia Tipton, Annie Hunt, Mary Alice Carpenter, Linda Johnson, and Faye Hammond, 1 brother, Chalmer Johnson, and a grandson, Harrison Clay Grimes.

Her funeral will be 1:00 Wednesday at Herald and Stewart Home for Funerals with burial in Machpelah Cemetery. Visitation will be 12:00 - 1:00 Wednesday at Herald & Stewart.

Pallbearers will be: Glenn Grimes, Jamie Clemons, Wes Conway, Hunter Catchings, Garrett Grimes, Jacob Miracle, Joseph McCarty, and Austin Arnett.

Herald and Stewart Home for Funerals will be in charge of arrangements.
