Mattie Mae (Steele) Elliott

Mattie Mae Steele Elliott, widow of Robert Lee Elliott, passed away Friday, October 28, 2022 at Saint Joseph Hospital in Mt. Sterling, KY. She was an 81 year old born in Floyd county to the union of the late Willie and Minerva McGuire Steele, a homemaker and member of the United Baptist Faith.

She is survived by 2 sons; William D. Elliott (Tamara) and Robert Elliott (Tiffany), a daughter, Alisa Meyer (Patrick), 9 grandchildren; Stacy Nicole Rogers, William Tyler Elliott (Regina), Josh Gannon (Deanna), Courtney Elliott, Ryan Moore (Allison), Braxton Meadows, Landon Meadows, Josh Skaggs (Cheyanna) and Jordan Skaggs (Destiney), 9 great grandchildren, a sister, Alma Gibson (Ronnie) and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Mattie was preceded in death by a brother, Arnold Steele and 4 sisters; Billie Jean Purvis, Mary Stanley, Lois Edwards and Peggy Steele.

Her funeral will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 3, 2022 at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals, Bros. Steve and Roger McGuire presiding with burial to follow in Miller Cemetery on Highway 1050. Visitation will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Josh Skaggs, Jordan Skaggs, Tyler Elliott, Dayln Rogers, Landon Meadows and Braxton Meadows. Honorary Pallbearers are Patrick Meyer, Ryan Moore, Millard Shepherd, Kevin Chaffins, Robert Skaggs, Ronald Gibson, Evan Edwards, Fulton "Bubby" Stanley, Josh Gannon and Billy Hatton.

Arrangements are placed in the care of Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals.
