Mitchell Ray Allen

Mitchell Ray Allen, age 86, passed away October 18, 2024 at St. Joe Main Hospital in Lexington, KY.  Mitchell was born in McGoffin Co. on June 22, 1938, to the union of the late James Allen and late Liddie Taulbee Allen. He was a member of the Spring Street Baptist Church.  Mitchell worked over 25 years part time at the Cassell Golf Course in Winchester.  He retired from the Rainbow Bread Company.

Mitchell is survived by his wife, Judy Bell Allen of Mt. Sterling; his 3 sons– Tony (Tracy) Allen of Savannah GA, Ronnie (Laura) Allen of Nicholasville KY, Eric (Brandi) Cook of Mt. Sterling;  2 daughters- Gloria (Jamie) Jelf of Louisville, Tammie (Chris) Hill of San Antonio, TX.  8 Grand children and 1 Great-Grand child.  1 sister Joyce (Russell) Short of Bath Co.

Funeral Services will be Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at the Spring Street Baptist Church.  Friends and Family are welcome to visit Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until time of service.  Officiating will be Larry Robinson.

Burial will be at the Machpelah Cemetery following the service.

Pallbearers are: Eric Cook, Tony Allen, Ronnie Allen, Jared Allen, Trevor Allen, Anthony Bell.
