Mitchell Howard Potter, widower of Glenna Lou Hall Potter and husband of Brenda Robinson Potter, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2024 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, KY. He was an 82 year old born in Jenkins, KY to the late Ira and Pearl Rose Potter, a former counselor and farmer.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Robinson Potter; a granddaughter, Allison Halligan (Ryan); 4 step grandchildren, August Davis, Alissa Davis, Alicia Davis and Austin Davis; a brother, Ted Potter; a sister, Anna Duke (John); a son in law, Keith Ratliff; along with 2 special friends, Raleigh McIntosh and Gene Mosley. In addition to his first wife and parents, Mitchell was preceded in death by a daughter, Lynn Potter Ratliff; and a half brother, Jack Potter.
His funeral will be 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals with burial to follow in Machpelah Cemetery. Visitation will take place prior to the funeral service from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Austin Davis, Alicia Davis, Roger Kanatzer, Dylan Crawford, Josh Mullins and Ryan Halligan.
