NORA (BURGESS) HELTON

Nora Burgess Helton, age 79, of Mt. Sterling, passed away peacefully at home on November 24, 2024.  Nora was born to the union of the late David and Lucille Burgess on February 13, 1945.  She was a lifelong resident of Mt. Sterling and a member of the Christian Assembly of God.  Nora retired from Lion Apparel and Cowden where she worked as a seamstress. 

Blessed with a large family Nora is survived by 2 daughters-Connie Rothwell and Shelly (Michael) Terry;  1 son Roger Daren (Patricia) Helton all of Mt. Sterling.  8 grand children: Wendy (Brian) Tabor, Andrew Setters, Brandon Bellamy, Lindsey Bellamy, Dylan (Jada) Helton, Nathaniel Terry, Randolph Vance, Cassie Vance.  15 great grand children and 1 great great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by 1 daughter Lisa Helton, her life long companion Roger Helton, 3 brothers-Emery Burgess, Clemmie Burgess and Jimmy Burgess; 2 half brothers Argie Burgess and Chessie Burgess.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 26, at 1:00 p.m. at the Christian Assembly of God.  Friends and family can visit from 11:00 a.m. until time of service.  Officiating will be Scott Barnes.

Burial to follow at Machpelah Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Andrew Setters, Brandon Bellamy, Dylan Helton, Nathaniel Terry, Brian Tabor, Brent Helton.
