Nancy Ritchie Baker Obituary

Nancy L. Kendrick Ritchie Baker, 73, passed away February 17, 2020 after a five year battle with cancer.  Born November 15, 1946 in Jeffersonville, KY, she was the daughter of the late Alton and Myrtle Ousley Kendrick.  She was a member of Christian Assembly of God, attended Camargo High School before moving to Columbus, Indiana where she was a graduate of Huffer's School of Cosmetology.  She was employed by CPC, makers of Hellman's Mayo, in the home office in Camp Hill, PA.  There she managed a Dutch Pantry Restaurant and traveled throughout Indiana, Illinois, Delaware and Pennsylvania, trouble shooting and opening new stores.  She did catering for the Jewish Synagogues and Temples, was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary Post 8312 in Beavercreek, OH and volunteered in the WA program, visiting women at Maysville State Prison.  She moved back to KY in 1995, working in several restaurants locally and enjoyed traveling, fishing and Blue Grass music.

Survivors include her husband, Watson Baker, a son, Matthew Paul Rogers of Lexington, KY, a grandson, Jude Holden Rogers of Mt. Sterling, a stepdaughter, Donna Goins of Columbus, IN, 4 brothers, Ellis, Alton, and Michael Kendrick of Jeffersonville and Darrell Kendrick of Lexington, a sister, Mary Martin of Jeffersonville and special friend, Maxine Harmon.  She was preceded in death by 2 sister, Phyllis Stone Kendrick and Claudia Martin.

Her funeral will be 2:00 Friday at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals with burial in Lovely Amburgey Cemetery.  Visitation is 12-2:00 Friday.
