Ollie May Jones

Ollie May Jones, of Mt. Sterling, passed away Friday, November 1st, 2019. She was a 91 year old native of Sharpsburg, Kentucky, daughter of the late Julius C. Jones, Sr. and Bertie Lee Baker Jones, a retired chef and member of Sharpsburg Greater First Baptist Church.

She is survived by 5 children, Mary Katherine West Thompson, John Allen (Deborah) Jones, Helen Jones, Joseph (Bren) Jones, and Glenn (Marlene) Jones, a daughter-in-law, Joellen Jones, and 10 grandchildren, Cynthia Chenault, Rhonda Thompson, James West Thompson, Brian Jones, Kevin Jones, Bradley Jones, Shantel Taylor, Adrian Lamont Jones, Cassandra Jones, and Tony Jones, 1 sister, Anna (Fred) Mason, 1 brother, William "Billy" (Elizabeth) Jones, 1 sister-in-law, Emma "Nellie" Jones. Ms. Jones is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.She is preceded in death by a son, George "Big Foot" Jones, and 6 siblings, Julius Jones, Jr., Charles Ray Jones, Lizzie Mae (Scott) Jones, Eliza Frances Jones, Edna Jones and Roberta Jones.

Her funeral will be 12:00 Thursday at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals, Pastor Gary Boyd presiding, with no graveside service at this time.  Visitation is 11-12:00 Thursday.
