Opal Summers Obituary

Opal Moore Summers, widow of Lee Summers Jr., of Mt. Sterling, passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2020. She was a 93 year old native of Bath County, daughter of the late Richard and Margaret Toy Moore, a homemaker and member of the Methodist Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Kay (Kenny) Amburgey, 3 grandsons, John (Denise) Vice, Byron (Crystal) Amburgey and Evan (Melinda) Amburgey, 4 great-grandchildren, Emily Vice, Katherine Amburgey, Madelyn Amburgey and Clayton McDonald. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Wanda S. Vice.

Her graveside service will be 1:00 Friday at Machpelah Cemetery, Pastor Lloyd Latimer presiding. Arrangements are entrusted to Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals.
