Otto Everett Manley Jr.

July 24, 1938 ~ February 25, 2022 (age 83)


Otto Everett Manley, Jr., husband of Peggy Montgomery Manley, passed away Friday, February 25, 2022 at Windsor Care Center in Mount Sterling. He was an 83 year old native of Montgomery County born to the union of the late Otto Everett, Sr. and Nellie Hawkins Manley, a former employee of Hobart and Grief Brothers and member of the Christian Assembly of God.

In addition to his wife, Peggy, Otto is survived by 3 sisters; Bonnie Little, Janice Williams and JoAnn Romer (Francis) and a brother; Doug Manley. He was preceded in death by his parents; Otto Sr. and Nellie Hawkins Manley, 3 brothers; Addison Manley, Scotty Manley and Woody Manley and 2 sisters; Billie Castle and Faye Henderson.

His funeral will be 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals, Brother Scott Barnes presiding with burial to follow in Machpelah Cemetery. Visitation will also take place at Herald & Stewart from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 1, 2022. The family requests that visitors wear a mask and practice social distancing at visitation and during the funeral service.
