PATRICIA "COOKIE" (SHOCKEY) PARGEN

Patricia Shockey “Cookie”  Pargen, age 75 , of Lexington, passed away peacefully at St. Joseph East, on Monday, March 17, 2025.  Patricia was born to the union of the late Henry and Katherine Craig Shockey on March 29, 1949 in Wolfe Co. KY.   She was known as “Cookie” to most people and worked as a waitress at Jerry’s Restaurant in Mt. Sterling for many years.    

Patricia is survived by 1 son William Earl (Rachel) Pargen of Lexington, 2 stepdaughters Katherine Spencer of Mt. Sterling and JoAnn Masters of Mt. Sterling; 1 sister Kaye Lawrence of Huntington, WV; 2 brothers Donald Clay Shockey of Lee City and David Boyd Shockey of Lee City; 1 sister in law Rhonda Shockey of Lee City.

Besides her parents, Cookie was preceded in death by her husband John “Cuz” Pargen; 1 brother Billy Joe Shockey.

Per Cookie's request there will be no funeral service.  A visitation service will be Friday, March 21, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Herald & Stewart Home For Funerals Chapel.
